Glenn Martin Genealogy Research Center

The largest collections of family history information that can be found in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

Over time, the Glenn Martin Genealogy Research Center has amassed one of the largest collections of family history information that can be found in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. With records dating back to the early 1800’s through current day, the Glenn Martin Genealogy Research Center has secured a wealth of information that is un-rivaled by most.

In 2005, the size of the Genealogy Research Department had grown too large for the facility it was being held in, so Mr. Glenn Martin donated the funds to renovate the adjacent library owned Garrett building so the entire Genealogy research center could be moved to a more appropriate space. The Genealogy research center was officially dedicated to Mr. Martin in 2005 for his generous contributions to the Research Center and George Coone Library as a whole.

Housing hundreds of family research books and materials, family files, obituary files, microfilm records, census records, and countless other valuable collections of genealogical manner, the beautiful genealogy library provides materials for all persons seeking to research past family information. Every day new records and resources are being processed and added to the collection and the goal is continuous growth of this crucial breadth of information.
